Description:
A simple savory South Indian breakfast made with semolina.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup rava (semolina)
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • Curry leaves, green chili
  • Salt, water (2.5 cups)
  • Ghee or oil

Steps:

  1. Roast rava lightly, keep aside.
  2. In oil, temper mustard, chili, onion, curry leaves.
  3. Add water, salt — bring to boil.
  4. Slowly add rava, stir continuously.
  5. Cook till fluffy. Serve with chutney.
