Description:
Aromatic basmati rice cooked with vegetables and Indian spices.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup basmati rice
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables
  • 1 onion (sliced)
  • 2 tbsp yogurt
  • 1 tsp biryani masala
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • Mint & coriander leaves
  • Saffron (optional)

Steps:

  1. Fry onions until brown. Set aside half.
  2. Add ginger-garlic paste, vegetables, yogurt, spices.
  3. Layer cooked rice on top, add saffron water and fried onions.
  4. Cover and cook on low heat (dum) for 10 mins.
  5. Serve hot with raita.
