
Description:
Aromatic basmati rice cooked with vegetables and Indian spices.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup basmati rice
- 1 cup mixed vegetables
- 1 onion (sliced)
- 2 tbsp yogurt
- 1 tsp biryani masala
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- Mint & coriander leaves
- Saffron (optional)
Steps:
- Fry onions until brown. Set aside half.
- Add ginger-garlic paste, vegetables, yogurt, spices.
- Layer cooked rice on top, add saffron water and fried onions.
- Cover and cook on low heat (dum) for 10 mins.
- Serve hot with raita.
